As pro musicians we work with all kinds of folks who run sound, but I personally think that Dana’s crew was the nicest, most pleasant crew I’ve worked with in a long time. If you know how most sound crews work, you accept that there will be a ton of male energy with sarcasm and saltiness for days. Sometimes you’ll ask for something and get either laughed at, ignored, or some snarky retort… to which you must reply with positivity and reluctant disgruntled acceptance.

NOT SO with these folks. You get patience, a willingness to help, and kindness. I almost don’t even know what to do or how to respond. it makes you think how much better the world would be if sound people were all like this. I don’t need you to be the best in the business, or meet my every need. But I am starving for a smile, because immediately after the sound crew has you checked and the show starts, I’m gonna need all the positive energy and support I can get!
